Automatic login to Siebel thin client

While in development, I used to get bugged up by entering credentials every time application needs to be accessed. Out of frustration I have found way to bookmark the credentials in IE favorites so that it directly takes the user to application home screen.




Step 1: Add application URL to IE favorites

Step 2: Edit the target URL from :

http://[host name]/fins_enu/start.swe?SWECmd=Start&SWEHo=[hostname]

to :

http://[host name]/fins_enu/start.swe?SWECmd=ExecuteLogin&SWEUserName=[username]&SWEPassword=[password]


Step 3: Save URL.

Now this bookmark will directly take you to the home screen of the application,without showing the login screen..
